The International Maritime Museum Hamburg (IMMH) invites you to explore the world of seafaring across nine decks. Housed in the historic Kaispeicher B, the oldest preserved warehouse building in Hamburg, the museum presents a vast collection of ship models, maritime art, and exhibits from over 3,000 years of maritime history.
The Kaispeicher B was built in 1878 and gives the museum an authentic atmosphere all on its own. The exhibition is spread over more than 12,000 square meters.
Highlights of the Exhibition:
A special highlight is the model of the Queen Mary 2, which is built from about a million LEGO bricks. Additionally, at IMM-Hamburg, you will find the largest collection of bone ships in the world, crafted by French prisoners of war during the Napoleonic Wars.
Insider Tip: Use the ship driving simulator on Deck 1 to steer a large ship through the Port of Hamburg yourself. An interactive experience you shouldn't miss! |
